i have a few mins before a pre-tour darling waste rehearsal so i thought i would post a blog with an update on my life. first off, i am still way addicted to twitter. you should follow me at www.twitter.com/lancewaste if you aren't on twitter you should sign up. it's fun. in darling waste news, our new album, I AM BORN, came out a couple weeks ago and is selling nicely. You can get it at www.darlingwastestore.com along with our t shirts and mp3s from all the albums. as some of you know from coming out to shows, i have been touring solo since the beginning of the year. it's been amazing. getting to really strip down all the songs to one instrument and my voice has been a nice challenge and it has been really nice to play new versions of all the songs. I've toured all over the u.s. in the last several months and am going over to Europe for 5 weeks in July/Aug to finish up the solo acoustic stuff with a tour with Our Innocence Lost. If for some reason you don't know them, go check them out. this august and Sept i am going to be taking a 4 piece band version of darling waste out on the road. while we aren't 100% on the details i think we are going to do another full u.s. tour, maybe around 4-5 weeks. we will most likely be opening for another band, we are looking at touring with our friends Warrior Soul. They are true legends from NYC and it would be a lot of fun going out on the road with them. as for who will be in the band there will be a couple of Darling Waste veterans coming back to play the shows and a couple of new faces as well. so stay tuned for that. the new album got nominated for a British Music Award so I think we are heading back to the U.K. in early October to go to the ceremony and play some parties and shows. as part of our Aug/Sept tour we are looking to play some benefit concerts for high school band/orchestra and theater troops plus any other clubs you may be in.
